Living With Type 2 Diabetes is a free, 12-month program that provides information and support to people newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Program members can choose to receive their information online or through the mail. The program is available in English or Spanish.

You have so many questions when first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This booklet starts to answer them and invites you to enroll in the Living With Type 2 Diabetes program for more information and support. Call 1-800-DIABETES (800-342-2383) or ask your doctor for a copy.

This first packet provides diabetes basics to set patients up for the successful journey ahead, including reducing stress, creating a healthy meal, and overcoming barriers to being active.
Patients will find helpful tips on how to cope with the feelings they may have about their diabetes, get support, and live well with diabetes.
Living well with diabetes involves making healthy food choices, being active, and managing stress. This information packet spotlights nutrition and offers important information to help support patients' journey to healthy eating.
The American Diabetes Association wants to make sure patients have the tools and resources to succeed. In this booklet, patients will find helpful tips on managing anxiety and worry, dealing with weight issues, preparing to get physically active, and what to do to help prevent or delay diabetes complications.
This packet spotlights physical activity, which is important for everyone, but especially important for people with diabetes. Patients will also find tips on eating healthy, managing stress, and taking medication (if prescribed).
In this final booklet, patients are invited to reflect on their journey and progress. This packet reinforces the basics of diabetes, healthy eating, staying active, and tools to help cope with diabetes.
